Timber Golf Lodge

Ref: OUT7

A gorgeous timber golf lodge was required by our client, Bourne Leisure, to complement their beautiful, natural grounds, additionally providing a fantastic space in which golfers could rejuvenate themselves after some time on the green. A bespoke and exciting project, we were excited to take on the new challenge, and approached it full of fresh ideas.

Client Brief

The client needed an idyllic, welcoming space that would sit seamlessly within its surroundings and serve as an impressive refuge for Bourne Leisure’s visitors. The client wanted the room to be welcoming, characterful and bespoke, so we were vigilant about adding little unique twists and perks to the build that would inspire and delight the client and their guests. The client was also keen that the room would be spacious enough to accommodate several people at once, further fitted with useful areas for amenities such as a small kitchen.

Our Solution

We created a space that included a western red cedar tiled roof, featheredge cladding (stained brown), oak posts, UPVC doors and windows and a fully finished interior. We moreover included a small kitchenette where visitors could make meals or drinks, and interior and exterior seating areas so they could enjoy the space whatever the weather. Large windows included in the build made the interior extra bright and beautiful, allowing the guests to look out onto the expansive greens and water, and the timber of the build itself offered an unrivalled opportunity to make an impact on the setting without drawing attention away from all its natural beauty. We even included a clock tower at the top, complete with compass - a quaint addition that added real charm to the build!

The Result

The Stable Company provided a great service and were very accommodating in adapting the design for our needs. The building was built within the required time scale and within budget. The finished product looked great and the client was very happy with the new facility.
