Client Brief

Rookery Equine Spa & Therapy is a luxury rehabilitation and therapy centre for horses.

Our client needed a building that’s as high end as the products and services they offer. This meant tailored design, bespoke features and nothing less than the finest materials and craftsmanship.

Situated in the heart of Cheshire, the new facility needed to fit seamlessly into its gorgeous natural surroundings, as well as performing practically and technically for the equine rehabilitation services the business provides.

Our Solution

Having partnered with us in 2012 for her first stabling project, Victoria — owner at REST — didn’t think twice about getting back in touch.

Fortunately, Victoria shares our unwavering passion for quality. For this project, as with all of our timber buildings, it was our vision to imbue excellence into every aspect of the design and build.

The project wasn’t without its challenges, such as land sloping, to which we applied a number of creative solutions. This included building a base up, as well as making changes to the terrain so it was correct for the horses.

We also made special design amendments when it was discovered that there was a tank for the horses’ water treadmill which wouldn’t fit into the machine store. As always, the end user is at the forefront of our design and the way we work.

The Result

All in all, the end product speaks for itself: a beautiful, fully-tailored stable that steps up to the needs and requirements of this specialist facility. We even provided a little door for the miniature Shetland!

The Stable Company themselves are just amazing to work with; the end product is spectacular. I’d recommend them beyond any shadow of a doubt — they are there for the customer.
