Client Brief
With a main building that originally dates back to 1840, Wylde Green is the oldest school in the city. However, a rich history certainly doesn’t mean an old-fashioned outlook, and the school was passionate about updating its facilities.
The school wanted a new bespoke classroom for its Year Six pupils, enabling the class to move out of the school hall into a dedicated teaching space. The building was designed to fulfil the school’s outdoor learning objectives, with the project representing a change of scenery for pupils and staff as well as delivering the numerous additional benefits of teaching in an outdoor classroom.
