To create a high-spec building for Foundation Stage children on a challenging, hillside site.
Double outdoor classroom, kitchen, cubicles and wash room
Ref: ED04The Academy needed to respond to Ofsted advice to increase its early years and outdoor learning provision - timber structures were the ideal solution to build on the challenging terrain surrounding the building.
To create a high-spec building for Foundation Stage children on a challenging, hillside site.
We built a space with two large group teaching spaces, a kitchen area for food prep and a shared toilet and wash area.
A major part of the school’s requirement was to work alongside a team that was able to deliver the entire project. Our Complete Care Solution meant we handled planning permission, building control, structural calculations, CDM coordination, subcontractor management and testing and commissioning. Design through to interior fit-out was all handled by our expert team.
The building also includes large sliding folding doors (to ensure that children have direct access to the play area outside) and two tone carpets/anti-slip vinyl flooring.
